Nancy Wanich-Romita ATI, MAmSAT is a Senior Certified Teacher of the Alexander Technique and Director of the ATMidatlantic Teach Training Course in Baltimore MD. Certified by ACAT in 1984, Romita trained with Judy Leibowitz, Deborah Caplan, Ann Mathews, Barbara Kent and others. In addition to her private practice and training course, Ms Romita is co-author of Functional Awareness: Anatomy in Action for Dancers (www.functionalawareness.org). She currently on the dance faculty at Towson University (http://www.towson.edu/dance/fac-wanich-romita.asp) Ms. Romita holds a BA in Dance and Child Development from Connecticut College, and a MFA in Interdisciplinary Theater from TU. She is a member of the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS). Her research in collaboration with Johns Hopkins Physical Therapy Clinic was presented at the 2013, 2014, 2015 conferences.
