Christine Isley-Farmer, Coordinator and Professor of Voice at Middle Tennessee State University, has had extensive experience in opera and concert in the US and Europe. As a teacher of the Alexander Technique, Christine gives private AT instruction at MTSU and teaches AT for the annual Tennessee Governor’s School for the Arts. She has conducted Alexander Technique workshops throughout the Southeastern region of the United States and has been a featured presenter for regional and state meetings of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and National Opera Association. Her articles on Alexander Technique have been published in the NATS Journal of Singing and featured in ATI’s publication. Christine has presented research on AT and singing at the 12th International Conference in Hawaii. She will be sharing her research on singing, hearing loss, and AT at the upcoming 7th International Health, Wellness, and Society Conference.
